🐯 Is Miguel Herrera the best manager in Liga MX?
The lone Mexican left in the Liguilla states his case. Plus: Atlas defends but not dryly
One Mexican manager is still coaching the Liguilla, and his team took a big step toward the Liga MX final Wednesday.
Miguel Herrera’s Tigres played a fantastic match at El Volcan, rallying to defeat León 2-1. It was an interesting tactical battle between “El Piojo” and his Argentine counterpart Ariel Holan, one which Herrera won decisively.
Whether or not Tigres can hold their advantage or lift the silverware, it’s been an impressive debut campaign from Herrera at the helm of one of Mexico’s top clubs.
I should note here that I haven’t exactly always been a Herrera believer.
That may come as a shock to plenty, especially in the Americas where he’s often linked with jobs in Major League Soccer or South America. I get it. He’s fun. The gifs are great.
And Herrera definitely has experienced success. Yet, from a tactical sense. he’s often failed to impress.
