The United States men’s national soccer team beat Bolivia 2-0 on Sunday at AT&T Stadium in Arling- wait, that’s too bland. I can’t start this newsletter with a news lede. This is something different, something special.

This is the Copa América.

That’s the message United States manager Gregg Berhalter and his players were hoping to get across after the win Sunday.

Could they have scored more goals? Absolutely. Are there things to clean up? No doubt. But any goal in this tournament is a good one. Any comfortable win, a win to be valued.
