One correction: Iniesta is no longer with Vissel Kobe, he left Japan in the summer. He's now playing with Emirates in the UAE.

For those of us who aren’t aware of what occurs, regarding professional football clubs, during the off-season, and players enjoying well deserved rest and vacation away from football/soccer, clubs and players embark on structured preparations, for the upcoming season. An intricate factor in their preparation involves friendly competitions, or pre-season friendlies, a tactical approach, but within a more relaxed atmosphere. The key phrase is β€œfriendly competition.” Therefore, Inter Miami FC will be engaged in one of those β€œfriendly competitions, during the off-season, in the preparation of its players, against El Salvador, on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024.

In addition to its main objective, Inter Miami FC, pre-season friendly competitions are two-fold. It also offers marketing, because Inter Miami FC is geared towards the advancement of the game and its club and players, amongst fans of the game and fans of interest in the club and players. Furthermore, inter Miami FC players are experienced professionals that aren’t wrapped in cotton wool throughout the off-season; each player is assessed based on fitness levels, injuries, recoveries and/or rehabilitation, with regards to the amount of time allotted in these friendly competitions, Lionel Messi is no exception, and he too will be utilized accordingly.
